About the position

This role is with Belden, specifically within the Operations Early Career Leadership Program, which is designed to help high-achieving college graduates jump-start their careers in Operations and Supply Chain. The program is cohort-based and focuses on real-world, challenging, interactive, and action-based learning. Participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum that develops both functional and leadership skills, providing a solid foundation for their future careers. As a member of the Launch Program Class of 2028, you will experience three 12-month rotations through various areas of the company, gaining valuable insights into how a global business operates. During the rotations, you will have the opportunity to work in multiple locations, including Richmond IN, Indianapolis IN, Shawnee KS, and Syracuse NY. Potential rotations may include roles in Operations, where you will engage with customers, analyze testing procedures, and work with manufacturing processes and equipment. In the Supply Chain rotation, you will handle transportation, production planning, capacity planning, inventory management, and warehousing, as well as develop make vs. buy decisions and implement productivity improvements. The program also emphasizes managerial experience, where you will manage direct reports, handle inventory transactions, and oversee daily management of Lean manufacturing processes. Responsibilities

  • Participate in three 12-month rotations through different areas of the company.
  • Engage with customers and analyze testing procedures and machine capabilities.
  • Work with manufacturing processes and equipment in Operations.
  • Handle transportation, production planning, capacity planning, inventory management, and warehousing in Supply Chain.
  • Develop make vs. buy decisions and identify productivity improvements.
  • Manage direct reports and handle inventory transactions.
  • Own daily management of Lean manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Completion of two relevant internships or two years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in Lean manufacturing.
