About the position

This role is with Belden, a company that utilizes RippleMatch to identify top talent for its Operations Early Career Leadership Program. The Launch Program is an innovative, cohort-based professional development initiative aimed at helping high-achieving college graduates kickstart their careers in Operations and Supply Chain. Participants in this program will engage in real-world, challenging, interactive, and action-based learning experiences, allowing them to develop essential skills on the job. Over the course of three 12-month rotations, members of the Launch Program will gain valuable experience across various areas of the company, including Operations and Supply Chain, while being fully immersed in a global team of experts eager to share their knowledge. As a member of the Launch Program Class of 2028, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of how a global business operates from the inside out. The program is designed to cultivate both functional and leadership skills that will serve as a solid foundation for your future career. Participants will have opportunities to work in multiple locations, including Richmond IN, Indianapolis IN, Shawnee KS, and Syracuse NY. Potential rotations may include engaging with customers, analyzing testing procedures, managing inventory transactions, and making decisions regarding production planning and capacity management. The program emphasizes the importance of diversity and inclusion, recognizing that the unique perspectives and experiences of each team member are vital for innovation. Belden seeks future Operations leaders who are passionate, academically accomplished, and intellectually curious, with a commitment to tackling new challenges and contributing to the company's mission of improving connectivity and security. Responsibilities

  • Participate in three 12-month rotations through different areas of the company.
  • Engage with and visit customers to understand their needs.
  • Analyze testing procedures, machine capabilities, and material flow.
  • Work with manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Manage direct reports and handle inventory transactions.
  • Own daily management of Lean manufacturing processes.
  • Work with all modes of transportation, production planning, capacity planning, inventory management, and warehousing.
  • Develop make vs. buy decisions and identify productivity improvements.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Completion of two relevant internships or two years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for taking on new challenges and solving problems.
  • Strong academic achievement.
