Bellman/Valet Overnight

About the position

The Bellman/Valet position at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara Santa Barbara is a full-time overnight role focused on providing exceptional guest service. The primary responsibilities include greeting and escorting guests, assisting with luggage, and ensuring a smooth arrival and departure experience. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of luxury service that The Ritz-Carlton is known for, while also ensuring guest safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to their rooms.
• Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property.
• Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation.
• Identify and explain room features to guests.
• Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell area.
• Assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
• Assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including loading/unloading luggage.
• Supply guests with directions and arrange transportation as needed.
• Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions to management.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Move at a speed required to respond to work situations.
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or entire shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and over 75 pounds with assistance.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and up and down stairs or service ramps.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
• Ability to move and lift heavy objects as required by the job.
