About The Position

Assembler/Fabricator Technician – Belting. This role involves gaining experience with a growing company in an amazing industry, applying skills in fabricating conveyor and power transmission belts. The organization is focused on customers, employees, entrepreneurship, agility, and responsibility, with a strong emphasis on values and continuous improvement. The Belt Technician’s primary responsibility is to fabricate an in-tolerance finished conveyor belt in accordance with order requirements and established company processes/procedures.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma, GED, Technical/Trade School or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver’s license required if operating company vehicle
  • Prior manufacturing work experience in operating machinery and using various hand tools
  • Ability to read and comprehend shop orders and working drawings written in English
  • Must be able to read and interpret measuring devices (tape measures, calipers, scales)
  • Ability to complete basic mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, decimals and metric system
  • Must be able to work in the US

Responsibilities

  • Become proficient in all processes and concepts as outlined for Belt Tech competencies and skill areas.
  • Observe and follow safety rules as outlined in the Safety Policy.
  • Observe and follow company policy as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Complete shop orders by the Production Priority Code system.
  • Complete assigned work without fabrication errors and in accordance with quality standards and customer specific requirements.
  • Perform necessary tasks in fulfilling work orders that achieve company goals in support of internal and external customers, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Perform regular housekeeping of the assigned work station.
  • Identify unusual or uncommon fabrication instructions and clarify with Team Lead.
  • Provide assistance as required in other areas to support company and plant goals.
  • Assist with belt installation at customers’ facilities in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform general belt fabrication including Cut To Length, Lacing, Finger Splicing and Slitting.
