About the position

The position is responsible for calibrating, installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic oil and gas process instrumentation control systems. This work is often performed in an online situation, but can also take place in a laboratory or bench-type environment. This position is remote for 2x2 hitches in Beluga, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. The responsibilities include ensuring a safe work environment by participating in CCI's STEPBACK safety program and complying with various client safety programs. The individual will represent the company professionally at all times and will be responsible for the calibration, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of various instrumentation control systems. This includes working with panel and field devices, pressure, level, and temperature switches and transmitters associated with gas compression and power generation packages. The candidate is expected to have experience in the calibration of high-accuracy flow, pressure, and temperature transmitters, and familiarity with specific brands such as Barton, Daniel, A.O. Smith, Rosemont, Fisher, and Taylor Electronic/Pneumatic transmitter/recorders. Knowledge in measuring device maintenance for gas and liquid turbine meters, orifice meters, thermocouples, and RTD devices is also required. Experience with heater controls and pneumatic well control systems is essential, along with skills in stainless steel tube bending.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate, install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic oil and gas process instrumentation control systems.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by participating in CCI's STEPBACK safety program and complying with client safety programs.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Maintain and repair panel and field devices, pressure, level, and temperature switches and transmitters associated with gas compression/power generation packages.
  • Calibrate high-accuracy flow, pressure, and temperature transmitters.
  • Work with programmable controllers and distributed control systems.
  • Maintain measuring devices such as gas and liquid turbine meters, orifice meters, thermocouples, and RTD devices.
  • Handle heater controls and pneumatic well control systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Four (4) years of experience including apprentice training as a process instrument technician in the oil or chemical industry is required.
  • Graduation from a two (2) year technical school will be accepted in lieu of two (2) years of work experience.
  • A current OSHA 10-hour training is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Daniel and Rosemont measuring devices is desirable.
