About the position

The Insurance Agent will assist clients with life and health insurance plans, providing follow-up service and support to address changing insurance needs. This role involves client communication, proposal creation, and ensuring clients understand their coverage options.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general employee benefit client service & support to producer(s).
  • Assist producers in creating client communications and proposals.
  • Deliver policy and plan documents to clients.
  • Follow up with clients periodically to assess changes that may require modifications to their coverage.
  • Help with changes, corrections, additions, and deletions to employee benefit plan elections.
  • Discuss plan coverage and eligibility with subscribers.
  • Communicate efficiently with third-party vendors regarding COBRA administration.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in Life & Health benefits required.
  • Active Life & Health Insurance License in California required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe PDF Software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of life insurance as part of financial planning.
  • Ability to explain complex insurance policies clearly.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Some sales experience, particularly in insurance, is highly preferred.
  • Proficient with EASE employee benefits platform and Sagitta and/or AMS 360.
