About the position

The Benefits Account Manager will be responsible for servicing client accounts throughout the entire process, including managing Open Enrollment, providing product information, and acting as a subject matter expert in employee benefits. This hybrid role requires collaboration with production teams and a focus on delivering superior customer service to group administrators.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the full-cycle renewal process for assigned clients, preparing proposals and conducting market research.
  • Provide superior customer service to group administrators by answering coverage questions and triaging claim issues.
  • Work closely with the accounting division to reconcile commission shortages/overages and communicate with insurance carriers.
  • Document all renewal activities in Applied Epic and Zywave's Brokerage Builder.
  • Collaborate with production team members on client needs and requests.
  • Attend networking events and seminars to stay updated on industry changes and participate in continuing education opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 2+ years of benefit administration experience.
  • Active Life & Health license or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Superior organization skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • CEBS designation preferred (not required).
  • Experience with ZyWave suite/Brokerage Builder preferred (not required).
