About the position

The Leaves Analyst will oversee the administration of the University's Paid Family and Medical Leave Benefit Plan, ensuring compliance with state laws and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing leave requests, auditing leave payments, and providing support to the Human Resources Service Center. The position also offers opportunities for process improvement in leave administration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration of PFML Leaves through the University's Leave Administrator.
  • Review and audit leave payments, leave duration, and ensure timely processing of employees' leave start and end dates.
  • Provide support to Human Resources Service Center on all employee and departmental inquiries regarding leaves.
  • Provide monthly reporting on types of leaves and payment of leaves by employee group and organizational units.
  • Ensure compliance of the University's PFML program with State Law and all regulatory requirements.
  • Review current leave processes and determine potential process flow improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
  • Experience administering leave benefits and extensive knowledge of the Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave Act and Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993.
  • Strong analytic skills and the ability to organize and analyze large data sets.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
