About the position

The Benefits Analyst position at CoStar Group is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and 401(k) plans. This role emphasizes excellent customer service and analytical support in delivering these benefits to employees. The position reports to the Director of Benefits and is based in Washington, DC, with a hybrid work model of four days onsite and one day remote.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily benefit processing, including enrollments, terminations, changes, and insurance claims.
  • Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and payment of invoices for all group plans.
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.
  • Design and deliver presentations for new employee benefit orientations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Coordinate the transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration.
  • Investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations.
  • Assist the benefits team in researching employee benefit plans and vendors to identify those that present the best value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Project and team management/leadership skills and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of plan designs.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Benefits or employee benefits administration experience preferred.
  • Professional designations such as CBP or SHRM.
  • Previous experience using Workday's benefits features.
  • Evidence of strong academic performance in college.
