About the position

AVAIL Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Benefits & Compensation Analyst to join our team in Suwanee, GA. This full-time position reports to the Benefits Manager and has a dotted line to the Sr. Director of Total Rewards. The Analyst will play a crucial role in the research, design, and administration of the Company's Total Rewards program, focusing on health and welfare, retirement benefit plan administration, and compensation planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of employee benefits, including new hire enrollments, qualified life events, and open enrollment processes using the Plan Source benefits enrollment tool. Effective communication with HR Business Partners is essential to ensure compliance and timely actions are taken regarding employee benefits. In addition to managing benefit deductions and monitoring department communications, the Analyst will assist in reviewing benefit communication materials and conducting market analysis to formulate compensation recommendations. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, as the Analyst will be responsible for conducting salary surveys, analyzing results, and ensuring market competitiveness. The position also involves maintaining an electronic library of job descriptions and ensuring consistency and accuracy across the organization. The Analyst will oversee the day-to-day administration of the Company's 401(k) plan, including monitoring error reports, enrollment processes, and plan audits. Continuous improvement of processes and documentation is a key responsibility, as is ensuring compliance with legal regulations and plan provisions. The Analyst will also conduct regular audits to maintain data accuracy and stay updated on federal, state, and local compensation laws. This position is dynamic and may involve additional duties as assigned by leadership, emphasizing the importance of adaptability and a commitment to safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and process new hire enrollments, qualified life events, open enrollment, and EOI requests within Plan Source benefits enrollment tool.
  • Manage benefit deductions arrearage process in coordination with payroll team.
  • Monitor department mail, complete Qualified Medical Support Orders, and update benefit enrollments in Plan Source benefits enrollment tool.
  • Assist in review of benefit communication materials, reports, plan documents, etc.
  • Monitor and escalate or respond to email requests via the Benefits Inbox.
  • Assist in market analysis for positions to formulate compensation recommendations using external and internal benchmarks.
  • Develop and maintain electronic library of job descriptions, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and accessibility.
  • Responsible for day-to-day administration of the Company's 401(k) plan (monitoring error reports for demographic integration files, enrollment, funding, plan audit/review, etc.).
  • Support annual compensation planning and incentive cycles, including preparation of reports and data validation.
  • Conduct and participate in salary surveys and analyze results to ensure market competitiveness and best practice.
  • Accountable for continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and communications.
  • Ensure programs are administered in accordance with plan documents and legal compliance, staying up to date on changing regulations or plan provisions.
  • Serve as an integral part of the management of current and future enhancements of relevant workflow and processes liaising with HRIS, Benefits, Payroll / Finance and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data and process accuracy.
  • Keep apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations and market practices.

Requirements

  • 4 - 7 years benefits experience and data analytics with emphasis on 401(k) plan administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills.
  • Proficiency with ADP and PlanSource or similar benefits enrollment tool preferred.
