Presenting benefits to new hires and assisting with the planning of the annual enrollment process are key responsibilities. The coordinator verifies and sends termination information to the COBRA administrator and carriers, ensuring that employees receive necessary information regarding life insurance and long-term disability portability and conversion upon termination. The role also includes maintaining file organization, performing special projects as assigned, generating necessary documents, and completing surveys with benefit information. The Benefits Coordinator is tasked with sending notifications to employees regarding changes in employment status and updating the benefits site on the employee intranet. Additionally, the coordinator runs weekly reports to transfer deduction information from the benefits module to payroll and assists with uploading retirement contribution data to Fidelity.
