About the position

The Temporary Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for conducting end-of-year benefits plan validation and collaborating with team members to resolve any benefit-related issues. This role assists the Benefits Team with various projects and reports, ensuring compliance and accuracy in benefits administration.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the Dependent Verification process, ensuring thorough review of backup documentation to validate the eligibility of dependents and approve eligible dependents in Dayforce.
  • Administer the approval process for Qualifying Life Events (QLE) in Dayforce, ensuring thorough review of backup documentation to confirm that each request meets IRS criteria.
  • Administer the weekly COBRA process in Dayforce, validating information accuracy and partnering with vendors to ensure timely processing of benefit end dates and COBRA rights packets.
  • Assist with end-of-year benefits plan validation audits to ensure accuracy of employee enrollment elections.
  • Assist the Benefits Manager with manual monthly ACA reporting and enrollments, including opening and closing enrollment sessions in Dayforce by deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to assist the benefits team with day-to-day benefits administration.

Requirements

  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with Microsoft products, including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits databases, preferably Dayforce.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective planning and priority setting skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
  • Strong data analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field, with 1-3 years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with benefits administration in a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with ACA reporting requirements.
