About the position

Horizon, a leading health care agency in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Human Resources expert to administer benefits programs for a rapidly growing not-for-profit organization. This role involves shaping, analyzing, and administering benefits for a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining HR information systems. The position offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the well-being of employees and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the enrollment, administration, and tracking of FMLA, COBRA, Health & Dental Insurance, 403(b) Retirement Savings, and Flexible Spending.
  • Ensure compliance with up-to-date Federal & State regulations.
  • Maintain HR Information Systems and generate reports.
  • Track employee FTE statuses and ensure accurate payroll deductions for benefit participation.
  • Facilitate the Agency Wellness program and plan annual holiday parties and other employee events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or comparable professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of Benefits Administration experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially strong knowledge of Excel.
  • ADP experience is a plus.
  • Current/Valid WI Drivers License and reliable/insured vehicle.

Nice-to-haves

  • SHRM - CP certification preferred.
  • Impeccable communication and organization skills.

Benefits
