The organization is actively seeking a Benefits Coordinator to join its corporate team. This role is crucial in managing and administering employee benefits, ensuring compliance with various regulations, and providing support to employees regarding their benefits. The Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for tracking and maintaining all leave of absences, which includes obtaining necessary medical certifications, sending appropriate correspondence, and communicating effectively with employees within the framework of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), California Family Rights Act (CFRA), and other applicable regulations. Additionally, the coordinator will oversee the administration of the 401k plan, track benefits deductions in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and make necessary adjustments. The role also involves reconciliation and payment processing for monthly benefit invoices, as well as sending out communications regarding benefit updates and changes. The Benefits Coordinator will serve as a point of contact for all benefit-related inquiries, ensuring that employees have the information they need regarding their benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Track and maintain all leave of absences, including obtaining medical certifications and sending correspondence.
  • Communicate with employees regarding FMLA, CFRA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Administer the 401k plan, ensuring compliance and accuracy in tracking benefits deductions in HRIS.
  • Reconcile and process payments for monthly benefit invoices.
  • Send communications regarding benefit updates and changes to employees.
  • Answer all benefit-related questions from employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or at least 3 years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience coordinating employee benefits such as health, dental, and vision coverage.
