About the position

The Benefits Coordinator handles benefits administration and compliance support for assigned divisional brands.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefit programs.
  • Coordinate open enrollment periods for employees to select or change benefits.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee benefits participation and changes.
  • Assist employees with benefit plan options, eligibility, and enrollment.
  • Oversee COBRA administration.
  • File workers' compensation claims for employees and act as the liaison between the claims adjuster and the employee.
  • Oversee and assist healthcare professionals with FMLA, disability, and personal leaves.
  • Lead training regarding benefit plans, wellness and employee questions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions or issues.
  • Serve as the primary backup for the other employees in the benefits department.
  • Ensure compliance to federal, state, and local regulations including but not limited to COBRA, ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and OSHA.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business is preferred.
  • Previous experience in benefits and compliance administration is preferred.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel is required.
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
  • Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
