About the position

The Benefits Coordinator at AppleOne is responsible for assisting with the administration of various employee benefits and retirement programs. This role involves determining employee eligibility, distributing enrollment materials, and ensuring accurate benefits enrollments in the HRIS. The coordinator will also facilitate employee inquiries regarding benefits claims and plan changes, conduct open enrollment orientations, and manage carrier invoices. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.
  • Determine employee eligibility for benefits.
  • Distribute all benefits enrollment materials to employees.
  • Work collaboratively with partners to ensure effective service to clients and employees.
  • Enroll employees with carriers and process life status changes.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS.
  • Perform quality checks of benefits-related data.
  • Assist employees with benefits claim issues and plan changes.
  • Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees regarding plan provisions and enrollments.
  • Manage 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments and contribution amounts.
  • Conduct open enrollment orientations at client worksites.
  • Reconcile and approve carrier invoices for timely payment.
  • Maintain knowledge of ACA regulations and required reporting.
  • Answer inbound company calls and provide back-up support to benefit staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, but experience or other training/certification may be substituted.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills is essential.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the department.
