About the position

The Benefits Coordinator at Anthros Inc. plays a crucial role in assisting clients and employees with benefits enrollment and administration. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with benefit regulations, maintaining employee records, and supporting the overall benefits program. The coordinator will work closely with the Director of Benefits and other team members to manage various employee benefits programs and resolve any related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Administer various employee benefits programs, including group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
  • Conduct benefits orientations and explain the benefits enrollment system to employees.
  • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in the payroll system for payroll deduction.
  • Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data related to premiums, claims, and costs.
  • Resolve administrative problems with carrier representatives.
  • Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage workers' compensation claims.
  • Assist the Director of Benefits in obtaining statistics and information for the renewal process of health, life, and retirement plans.
  • Prepare and set up meetings to help client employees understand company benefits and related incentive programs.
  • Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
  • Assist the Director of Benefits in completing benefits reporting requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Two years of experience in employee benefits administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
