About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Benefits Coordinator to join our Employee Support team. As a Benefits Coordinator, you will be responsible for administering employee benefits programs and ensuring that they are implemented effectively and in accordance with company policies. You will play a crucial role in supporting employees by providing guidance on benefits-related inquiries and helping to resolve any issues that may arise. The benefits include, but are not limited to 401k plan, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending, health reimbursement accounts and short and long-term disability. In this role, you will administer all aspects of employee benefits programs including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plans, 401k flexible spending accounts, and wellness programs. You will coordinate benefits enrollment for new hires and ensure accurate and timely processing of enrollments, changes, and terminations. Serving as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries from employees, you will assist in resolving issues or concerns. Additionally, you will assist with onboarding new employees, off boarding, and compensation management. Collaboration with insurance brokers, benefit providers, and other vendors will be essential to manage relationships and ensure efficient delivery of services. You will maintain accurate records of employee participation in benefits plans and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Assisting with annual benefits renewal processes, open enrollment periods, and communication of changes to employees will also be part of your responsibilities. Staying informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to employee benefits is crucial to your success in this role. You will also support other initiatives and projects as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Communications or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in benefits administration or a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to employees.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook); experience in CMiC and/or Rival Onboarding are a plus.
  • Certifications such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) are a plus.
