About the position

The Benefits Coordinator at ProVia is responsible for enrolling and administering employee benefits across multiple facilities, including Walnut Creek, Sugarcreek, Cherry Ridge, and Baltic. This role serves as the primary contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries and ensures compliance with benefits laws and regulations. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage various tasks related to benefits administration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment (health insurance, supplemental insurance, 401k, etc.).
  • Manage the enrollment, renewal, and distribution processes.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, claim issues, and plan changes for designated facilities.
  • Conduct new employee insurance meetings and complete follow-ups as needed.
  • Conduct audits and review payroll data to ensure proper deductions for benefits programs.
  • Check Supplemental invoices for accuracy, approve and forward for payment.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors, such as investment brokers and benefits vendors.
  • Assist with new hire benefits orientation and explain benefits programs, as needed.
  • Collaborate with Benefits Specialist on benefits-related employee engagement initiatives.
  • Cross train on all other aspects of HR.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience in employee benefits administration or HR.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, FMLA).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with employees, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Work well independently and within a team.
