About the position

The Benefits Coordinator at PSSI is responsible for managing team member benefits, ensuring accurate administration, compliance with regulations, and providing assistance to team members with inquiries and enrollment processes. This role plays a key part in supporting employees in understanding and utilizing their benefits effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance and administration of team member's benefits and files.
  • Manage benefits enrollments, terminations, beneficiary changes, and Qualified Medical Child Support Orders (QMCSO).
  • Compose and send miscellaneous letters.
  • Monitor QMCSO, termed in error, STD, and other reports as needed.
  • Communicate with carrier and team members receiving benefits to notify them of changes in coverage and to resolve problems.
  • Provide direction and advice to team members regarding their benefits.
  • Obtain knowledge of our Annual Open Enrollment Process.
  • Perform other job duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 1 or more years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Efficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and the use of the internet.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA, and other applicable regulations.
