About the position

The Benefits Coordinator at PRC-Saltillo is responsible for administering and managing employee benefits programs, ensuring that team members receive exceptional support and service. This role involves assisting employees with benefits enrollment, processing insurance billing, maintaining employee databases, and ensuring compliance with benefit regulations. The position is crucial for fostering a healthy and engaged workforce by resolving benefits-related issues and facilitating effective communication regarding benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage employee group benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Handle benefit inquiries and investigations to ensure quick and courteous resolution.
  • Lead onboarding meetings for benefits with new hires.
  • Organize special courses and events for employees, such as CPR training and health risk assessments.
  • Manage annual benefit renewals and open enrollment processes.
  • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure accurate data entry for benefits changes.
  • Assist employees with claims and Family Medical Leave paperwork.
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for benefits processes, including ACA reporting.
  • Respond to verification requests from external organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations related to benefits.
  • Serve as the primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Evaluate and revise internal processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Recommend benefits programs based on employee needs and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in Human Resources if no Associate's degree or higher is held.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail.
