About the position

Leavitt Group of Colorado is seeking a Benefits Customer Service Representative/Account Manager to join their team in Alamosa, CO. This role is pivotal in providing account management and technical support for the Employee Benefits Producer. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and servicing all lines of employee benefits insurance, ensuring compliance with the objectives and procedures established by the Employee Benefits Department. In this position, the Benefits CSR/Account Manager will deliver exceptional service to an assigned block of clients, addressing moderately complex customer service issues directly. This role is not a call center position; instead, it involves direct client contact, allowing the representative to build strong relationships with employer/group clients. As the primary point of contact for these accounts, the representative will coordinate with various internal functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs. The role also includes assisting client services management in conducting client meetings, inputting data into appropriate software for vendors, carriers, and clients within required timeframes, and coordinating employee communications for enrollment. Participation in new client set-up, renewals, and open enrollment meetings is also a key responsibility. The representative will be expected to establish and maintain a solid business rapport with clients and vendors, discuss applicable legislation and market trends with clients, and generate interest in additional lines of coverage. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve moderately complex customer service problems directly
  • Act as an outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts with direct client contact
  • Build relationships with employer/group clients and serve as the primary point of contact for service delivery
  • Represent client internally and coordinate with other functions to implement client systems and address service needs
  • Assist client services management in conducting client meetings as needed
  • Input data into appropriate software for vendors/carriers/clients within required timeframe
  • Coordinate employee communications for enrollment
  • Participate with new client set-up, renewals, and open enrollment meetings

  • Discuss with clients applicable legislation and market trends

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License preferred
  • Ability to communicate information effectively both verbally and in written form
  • Dependable, consistent, and timely work performance
