About the position

The Benefits Manager at Starkey is responsible for the management and administration of the company's health and welfare benefit plans, wellness programs, and ancillary benefits. This role ensures compliance, market competitiveness, and affordability of employee benefits, while also providing support for various HR functions and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Starkey's employee health and welfare plans and administration, ensuring compliance, market competitiveness, and affordability.
  • Oversee medical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits.
  • Administer corporate health, wellness, and fitness programs.
  • Support on-site Health Clinic initiatives to optimize utilization.
  • Manage retirement benefits including 401k and Non-Qualified plans.
  • Handle vendor management for benefit programs.
  • Communicate health and welfare programs through various channels, including new hire orientation and annual enrollment.
  • Assist with plan enrollments and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate applicable billings and invoice reconciliation with Finance.
  • Maintain current benefits policies, procedures, and employee guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws regarding benefits.
  • Develop and implement necessary processes and practices for benefits administration.
  • Provide support and direction for Human Resources Business Partners and key contacts.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Learning and Communication staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or human resources or equivalent required.
  • Minimum five years' benefits experience required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR systems, practices, policies, and procedures required.
  • Knowledge of health and welfare benefits, as well as retirement benefits required.
  • Computer knowledge and experience required, including Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent presentation skills required.
  • Excellent communication and people skills required.
  • Time management skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work with figures is required.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information required.

Nice-to-haves

  • CEBS certification preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office for at least 1 year preferred.
