About the position

The Employee Benefits Coordinator at the Archdiocese of New York is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the Lawson Benefit Administration System. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service while handling sensitive employee benefits data for all participating institutions within the Archdiocese. The Coordinator will ensure timely processing of benefits data and respond to inquiries in accordance with office standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review all new hire data and amendments to ensure accuracy.
  • Enter employee benefit data using the Lawson, United HealthCare, and CVS/Health database systems.
  • Manage high-volume workflow during peak periods.
  • Process billing adjustments to monthly consolidation invoices on a timely basis.
  • Handle distribution of weekly Coverage Continuation Right Letters and Health Exchange Notifications mailings.
  • Maintain the benefit continuation of coverage process, including participant and payment tracking and related communication.
  • Maintain a timely response rate to inquiries according to office standards.
  • File data and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two-year college degree
  • 1-3+ years relevant experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Highly proficient in Lawson HRIS preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Multitask effectively during peak time, and exercise patience and professionalism
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong team player.

Benefits

  • Compensation range of $30.22 - $32.97 per hour ($55,000 - $60,000 annually)
  • Eligible for overtime pay.
