About the position

The Benefits & Payroll Coordinator at Copley Hospital is responsible for administering benefit plans and managing payroll processes. This role involves supporting both internal and external customers while ensuring compliance with various regulations and policies. The coordinator will play a key role in the annual open enrollment process and will work closely with HR and payroll teams to maintain accurate records and resolve any issues that arise.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of health and welfare plans, annual open enrollment, COBRA, HIPAA and 403(b) Plan.
  • Interpret plan provisions and requirements; resolve administration/policy issues and questions; and coordinate activities with vendors/internal business partners.
  • Manage timely accurate enrollment of new hires, qualifying events, terminations and data transmission to 3rd parties.
  • Coordinate many aspects of the annual open enrollment process, working with internal and external resources to create compelling and accurate employee plan materials.
  • Advise managers & employees on interpretation of plan provisions and serve as liaison with internal clients and external vendors on benefit topics or employee issues.
  • Prepare all monthly vendor-billing statements and ensure timely payment.
  • Responsible for coordination of data necessary to complete internal, state and/or federal reporting, testing and plan eligibility.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure accuracy of data.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or certification equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree desired.
  • 1-3 years benefits/payroll experience in a professional environment.
  • Prior HR experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to handle information sensitively and confidentially.
  • Strong ability to organize, manage workload, set realistic deadlines, and manage multiple priorities without direct supervision.
  • Ability to work well with people and portray a positive problem-solving approach.
  • Strong analytic skills including the ability to thoroughly and accurately complete assignments.
