About the position

Copley Hospital is seeking a Benefits & Payroll Coordinator to join its Human Resources team. This role is crucial for the administration of benefit plans and the auditing of bi-weekly payroll processes. The coordinator will support both internal and external customers, requiring strong multitasking abilities and a commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce. This is a full-time position with various shifts available, including part-time and temporary options.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of health and welfare plans, annual open enrollment, COBRA, HIPAA, and 403(b) Plan.
  • Interpret plan provisions and requirements; resolve administration/policy issues and questions; and coordinate activities with vendors/internal business partners.
  • Manage timely and accurate enrollment of new hires, qualifying events, terminations, and data transmission to third parties.
  • Coordinate many aspects of the annual open enrollment process.
  • Work with internal and external resources to identify optimal media, creating specific, compelling, and accurate employee plan materials.
  • Advise managers and employees on interpretation of plan provisions.
  • Serve as liaison with internal clients and external vendors on benefit topics or employee issues.
  • Prepare all monthly vendor billing statements and ensure timely payment.
  • Responsible for coordination of data necessary to complete internal, state, and/or federal reporting, testing, and plan eligibility.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure accuracy of data.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or certification equivalent required; Bachelor's degree desired.
  • 1-3 years of benefits/payroll experience in a professional environment.
  • Prior HR experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to handle information sensitively and confidentially.
  • Strong ability to organize, manage workload, set realistic deadlines, and manage multiple priorities without direct supervision.
  • Ability to work well under changing priorities and handle multiple duties.
  • Strong analytic skills including the ability to thoroughly and accurately complete assignments.
