About the position

The Benefits/Payroll Coordinator at Memorial Hospital of Union County is a full-time role focused on managing payroll processing systems and ensuring compliance with payroll laws. The position requires a self-driven human resources professional with experience in benefits and UKG payroll systems. The coordinator will be responsible for processing payroll transactions, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating audits, all while contributing to a supportive work environment that values collaboration and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Process, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions.
• Ensure accurate processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Manage and maintain reports in UKG payroll system.
• Enter and process information in the payroll system, including hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses, and deductions.
• Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
• Issue or reissue physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors.
• Record and process federal and state payroll tax deposits.
• Assist with leave processes and other benefit duties as assigned.

Requirements

• UKG Workforce management/payroll experience is required.
• Associate's degree in business administration or relevant field.
• 2 years of payroll experience, with a minimum of one year of UKG payroll experience.
