About the position

The Bengali (Bangla) Interpreter position involves providing on-site and remote interpretation services throughout New York City's five boroughs. The role is part-time and requires flexibility in scheduling, as well as the ability to travel to various client locations. The interpreter will collaborate with service providers to deliver professional language services to the community, particularly supporting the NYC Department of Education.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Fluent in English and Bengali (Bangla).
• Must be 18 years of age or older and have U.S work authorization.
• Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
• Willingness to travel to all 5 boroughs of New York City.
• Access to the Internet, quiet workspace, and computer/phone for remote work.
• Ability to pass a background check.
