About the position

The BEOL Integration Engineer at IBM Research is responsible for establishing process specifications, designing experiments, and optimizing semiconductor technologies. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance process development and reliability, as well as analyzing data to improve performance outcomes. The engineer will also create intellectual properties and contribute to academic publications, playing a crucial role in advancing semiconductor technology.

Responsibilities

  • Establish process specifications according to performance requirements of technology
  • Design and conduct experiments by running Si hardware to optimize the integration of the processes
  • Follow up the progresses of the hardware to ensure desirable outcome
  • Lead and collaborate with cross functional team for process development, metrology, defect analysis, electrical measurement etc.
  • Analyze data to determine best conditions to optimize the process
  • Identify issues and implement solutions to improve performance
  • Evaluate the performance and reliability of the interconnect scheme
  • Design macros and circuits to evaluate new interconnect scheme
  • Create IPs and publish learning to conferences and journals

Requirements

  • 3 years in BEOL Semiconductor technologies or equivalent experience in academic/industry R D environment
  • Bachelor's Degree

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years in advanced node (14nm and beyond) BEOL semiconductor technologies or equivalent experience in academic/industry R D environment
  • Master's Degree
