About the position

The Best Practice Enablement Manager at Berkshire Hathaway Energy is responsible for managing user adoption and business readiness activities for the asset and work management center of excellence. This role focuses on ensuring successful user adoption of new tools and processes, providing hands-on assistance to utility staff, and crafting strategies for effective implementation of best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate user adoption of best practices and tools for utility asset maintenance and operations.
  • Manage the creation of end-user enablement strategy and approach.
  • Assist utilities with the integration of new ideas into existing processes.
  • Support all asset and work management related activities for the organization.
  • Conduct annual and ongoing training needs assessment meetings to determine end-user learning needs.
  • Coordinate and participate in the creation and delivery of learning materials.
  • Manage initiative-specific bootcamps and ongoing communication for user adoption.
  • Act as a lead/expert in the workgroup; train and mentor asset management managers, engineers, and technicians.
  • Assist users with the integration of new tools, processes, and methodologies into their daily activities.
  • Assist with the development of financial value quantification to guide operation and maintenance investment decisions.
  • Develop recommended process documentation in collaboration with multiple utilities.
  • Identify and establish asset and work management communities of practice.
  • Facilitate collaborative discussions involving multiple utilities and disciplines to share best practices.
  • Define Key Performance Indicator metrics for end-user enablement and compile metrics on user adoption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, project management, data science, marketing, organizational development, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in electric utility power business, construction, or related professional experience.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Field work or planning experience for power line, substation, generation, or pipeline equipment maintenance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or interest in analytics software such as Power BI, Python, Dax, R, Machine Learning.
  • Practical experience with adult learning strategy and development methodologies.
