Since joining Levi Strauss & Co. in September 2021, Beyond Yoga has continued to operate as a standalone brand, leveraging LS&Co.'s resources to enhance brand building, store openings, category expansion, and global distribution. We are seeking a Store Supervisor who will play a vital role in our store management team. This leadership position requires a commitment to building the future of retail while upholding our brand's core values. The Store Supervisor will create an engaging and inspiring environment for both employees and customers. This role involves leading retail strategies, supporting cross-functional store operations, and driving top-line sales goals. As a keyed management role, the Store Supervisor will be responsible for creating a high-energy store experience, engaging customers, and modeling exemplary service leadership. The Store Supervisor will assess and strategize to drive performance goals, ensuring accountability for store processes, including opening and closing procedures, and resolving customer concerns positively. This position also involves onboarding new hires, educating them on Beyond Yoga's core values and product knowledge, and fostering an environment that encourages employee engagement and retention. The Store Supervisor will handle cash and merchandise operations efficiently while maintaining store standards and compliance with policies. Additionally, this role requires building relationships within the team and the local community to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Create a high energy, compelling store experience by engaging customers and modeling the way as a visible service leader.
- Supervise and provide consistent coaching on selling culture and customer connection to ensure the highest level of service and sales.
- Assess and strategize to drive performance goals such as Conversion, Units Per Transaction, and Sales Per Hour.
- Accountable to the store manager for driving process adoption and supporting resolution of customer concerns.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, educating them on Beyond Yoga core values and product knowledge.
- Partner with store management to set expectations and contribute to an engaging work environment.
- Deliver formal performance feedback in partnership with store management.
- Efficiently handle cash and merchandise operations, including shipment processing and floor set.
- Perform store procedures in compliance with store policy.
- Supervise the store team in the absence of another management member.
- Build relationships and foster a positive, diverse, and inclusive work environment.
- Collaborate with the store team and Home Office partners to connect with the local community.
Requirements
- Retail apparel experience and proven skills in supervising, coaching, and training.
- Strength in customer service and selling with the ability to multi-task and remain flexible in an ever-changing environment.
- Strategic thinker with strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Positive, helpful demeanor and a passion for Beyond Yoga.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, carrying items, and reaching overhead.
