Beyond Yoga is a luxury athletic and lifestyle clothing brand that emphasizes quality, inclusivity, and ethical manufacturing. We are seeking a part-time Store Supervisor for our Fulton Market location in Chicago, IL. This role is integral to our store management team and requires a leader who is passionate about building the future of retail while upholding our brand's core values. The Store Supervisor will create an engaging and inspiring environment for both employees and customers, driving retail strategies and supporting store operations to achieve sales goals. In this position, you will be responsible for creating a high-energy store experience by engaging customers and modeling exceptional service. You will supervise the store team, providing consistent coaching on our selling culture and customer connection to ensure the highest level of service. Additionally, you will assess and strategize to drive performance goals, including Conversion, Units Per Transaction, and Sales Per Hour. As a manager on duty, you will be accountable for store processes, including opening and closing procedures, and resolving customer concerns positively. You will also support the onboarding process for new hires, educating them on Beyond Yoga's core values, product knowledge, and employee responsibilities. Collaborating with store management, you will set expectations, coach team members, and foster an environment that encourages engagement and retention. Your role will include efficient handling of cash and merchandise operations, ensuring compliance with store policies, and supervising the store team in the absence of other management members. Building relationships within the local community through events and brand engagement will also be a key part of your responsibilities. As a brand ambassador, you will embody and cultivate the company's core values, ensuring that our store remains a welcoming and inclusive space for all.

Responsibilities

• Create a high energy, compelling store experience by engaging customers and modeling the way as a visible service leader.
• Supervise and provide consistent coaching on selling culture and customer connection to ensure the highest level of service and sales.
• Assess and strategize how to drive performance goals such as Conversion, Units Per Transaction, and Sales Per Hour.
• Accountable to the store manager for driving process adoption, opening, and closing the store as a manager on duty.
• Support resolution of customer concerns with a positive outcome, partnering with Store Manager or ASM on elevated consumer issues.
• Support the onboarding process for new hires, educating them on Beyond Yoga core values, product knowledge, and selling culture.
• Set expectations, coach, and contribute to an environment that encourages engagement, retention, and talent.
• Deliver formal performance feedback in partnership with store management.
• Efficiently handle all cash handling and merchandise operations such as shipment processing, floor set, markdown, and replenishment systems.
• Perform store procedures in compliance with store policy.
• Supervise store team in the absence of another member of management.
• Build relationships and foster a positive, diverse, and inclusive work environment.
• Collaborate with store team and Home Office partners on building connections with the local community.

Requirements

• Retail apparel experience and proven skills in supervising, coaching, and training.
• Strength in customer service and selling with the ability to multi-task and remain flexible in an ever-changing environment.
• Strategic thinker with strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Positive, helpful demeanor and a passion for Beyond Yoga.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, carrying items, and reaching overhead.
