The Senior Project Manager, Change Management, plays a pivotal role in the organization by reporting directly to the Executive Director of Organizational Readiness for Business Excellence. This position is designed for an individual who possesses both subject matter expertise in Change Management and a strong proficiency in complex project management. The Senior Project Manager will work independently, guided by the Executive Director, to lead practices that ensure project excellence while applying change management expertise in collaboration with key leaders and stakeholders. This role is critical in providing direction and delegation to team members, ensuring that change projects remain within scope and adhere to scheduling and quality requirements. In this capacity, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for creating, managing, and distributing project communication artifacts, including status reports and information slide decks. They will also guide team report-out meetings and may stand in for the Executive Director of Organizational Readiness when necessary. The responsibilities of this role encompass project oversight, evaluation, coordination, and the development and documentation of project plans, requirements, specifications, timelines, and special projects. The planning phase involves identifying project objectives, scope, budget, resources, dependencies, and risks in collaboration with the Executive Director and Project Sponsors. The Senior Project Manager will prepare and manage work according to the project charter and secure buy-in from all stakeholders. They will facilitate the development of project timelines, define deliverables and milestones, and set priorities. Collaboration with the Executive Director and workstream teams on change management and communication approaches will be essential throughout the program and project duration. Ongoing project management responsibilities include owning accountability for meeting project objectives within the prescribed budget, developing and maintaining project documentation, monitoring progress, and ensuring corrective actions are taken to avoid project slippage. The Senior Project Manager will establish and maintain a change control process and framework, document and communicate project status regularly, and alert the Executive Director of any risks that may jeopardize project execution. They will also manage project staff, if applicable, and create a positive project team environment while performing project-related analytical work as needed. As an advisor, the Senior Project Manager will act as a consultant to the Organizational Readiness team and stakeholders on change management best practices. They will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, ensuring coordination and integration with other projects, including the implementation of Workday and foundational projects related to Business Excellence. Facilitating project team decision-making and proactively addressing change management and communication needs will also be key responsibilities.
