About the position

HII's System Integration group is seeking a BFTT Engineering Technician to join our Fleet Sustainment group! This is a full-time role located at our San Diego, CA office. As an Engineer Technician 2 you will play a critical role as part of the Integrated Training Systems Installation and Sustainment (ITSIS) support contract for the U.S. Navy. Responsibilities

• Demonstrated experience in the design, assembly, production, inspection, installation, calibration, test, trouble shoot, operation and/or maintenance of electronic, mechanical systems and components.
• Progressive experience in fabrication, assembly, electrical/mechanical stresses, material capabilities, and instrumentation.
• Possesses soldering skills for repair of equipment and hardware and ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools, comprehension of testing methodologies applied to engineering or technology tasks.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
• Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).

Requirements

• Must have an active Secret clearance.
• Must have experience working on Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) systems.
• Associate degree in electronic, electrical, or mechanical specialization (or equivalent), military technician school.
• Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years related (DoD/USN) experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Prefer Four years technical experience with Navy Combat Systems.
