About the position

The Business Intelligence & Analytics Product Owner/Business Analyst will be a key member of the Business Intelligence and Analytics team, responsible for partnering with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop analytical solutions that enhance business performance. This role involves creating internal data products, writing user stories, conducting acceptance testing, and contributing to cost/benefit analyses for data analytic solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business to understand their needs and develop analytical solutions to improve business performance and drive outcomes.
  • Create a series of internal data products using data analytics and data visualization tools.
  • Write user stories, conduct acceptance testing, and contribute to the development of cost/benefit analysis for data analytic solutions and digital tools.
  • Function as a proactive thought partner with various business stakeholders to develop use cases that improve business outcomes through data analysis and dashboards.
  • Groom a backlog of additional features and data to align and support the roadmap, working closely with the Data Governance and Technology team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required (preferred in IT/Business/Science/Math).
  • 10+ years of experience in business data analysis, requirements building, and leading needs analysis conversations.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills with sharp business value judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple concurrent projects and resolving data problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate analytical terms in non-analytical business language.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize quickly and effectively in individual work and assessment of business requirements/user stories.
  • Ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of the agile software development process.
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, and/or other analytical technologies.
