About the position

Trident Seafoods, the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America, is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting various components of the business, including Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Inventory, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Finance. The BI Analyst will be responsible for a range of reporting projects that encompass SQL development, Power BI DAX, and data visualizations. The position requires a strong analytical mindset to interpret and analyze data from multiple sources, primarily SAP, and to provide key analytics and reports for senior leadership. In this role, the BI Analyst will also provide project management support for key reporting initiatives, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and meet the required standards. The individual will be involved in the development of processes and technical design, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the reporting functions within the organization. This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $115,000 to $130,000, reflecting the importance of the role within the company. Responsibilities

  • Interprets and analyzes data from multiple sources, primarily SAP.
  • Provides key analytics and reports for senior leadership.
  • Provides project management in support of key reporting initiatives.
  • Supports in the development of processes and technical design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical or business intelligence positions.
  • T-SQL expertise with advanced ability to design and troubleshoot complex queries, stored procedures, functions, views, indexes, constraints, unions, and joins.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI Development and DAX.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong data and BI analysis skills, including detailed analysis and definitions of important metrics, measures, business logic and calculations, hierarchies and aggregations, source system analysis, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience in developing and deploying BI capability on SAP data.
