About the position
Infosys is seeking a highly experienced BI Consultant with expertise in Hadoop and Pyspark to develop a Tiered data architecture for our data platform. This role involves crafting and building a comprehensive data architecture that facilitates seamless data integration and delivers high-quality insights to leadership and business stakeholders. The consultant will collaborate with top industry talent to implement innovative solutions and participate in sales pursuits focused on client needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Tiered data architecture for the data platform.
- Craft and build comprehensive data architecture for seamless data integration.
- Deliver high-quality insights to leadership and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.
- Lead and participate in sales and pursuits focused on client needs.
- Develop data models and mapping rules to transform raw data into actionable insights.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy through validation and reconciliation processes.
- Maintain user documentation, including data models and data dictionaries.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
- At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Proven experience with Hadoop distributed frameworks and handling large data using Spark.
- Strong experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with major data analytics platforms like Hadoop or Spark.
- Experience with Scala or Python is required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Understanding of Design Patterns and tradeoffs between RDBMS vs Distributed Storage.
- Experience in designing and implementing tiered data architecture integrating analytics data from multiple sources.
