The Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA) plays a crucial role in providing technical and analytic support to evaluate and interpret data, collate findings relevant to the business, and share insights that can lead to effective changes in processes, workflows, and overall operations. Under the general supervision of the Information Systems Business Intelligence Deputy Director and the Information Systems Business Intelligence Coordinator, the BIA will assist in making sense of vast volumes of data within the department and other data assets. This position is essential for streamlining processes and staying ahead of industry trends, with a key objective of transforming data into actionable insights that enhance value for both internal and external customers served by the Client. The BIA will support the Client IS Business Intelligence team in knowledge management, technical project management, and overall content organization. Responsibilities include performing and participating in various research studies, data analysis, metrics reporting, facilitation, training, and assessments related to department performance and strategic planning. The BIA will also design, develop, appraise, and conduct orientation for existing and prospective new programs and service offerings, as well as execute various administrative assignments of varying complexity as assigned. In this role, the BIA will be responsible for data extraction and analysis of organizational data, compiling data regarding various challenges, and offering remedies to improve operational processes and systems. The BIA will analyze business requirements and processes, recommend implementations to management, and create and maintain documentation that includes design, requirements, and training materials for the organization. Additionally, the BIA will partner with stakeholders to understand their specific reporting needs and develop solutions using the Microsoft PowerBI platform, providing thought leadership and best practices related to managing an analytics technology platform based on PowerBI, SQL Data Warehouse, and/or Snowflake.
