About the position

The BI & Data Visualization Analyst role at Cinemark involves a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to enhance the Virtual Agent support infrastructure within Service-Now. The position focuses on modernizing reporting and dashboard platforms, utilizing PowerBI to create engaging visualizations from diverse data sources. The analyst will collaborate with software vendors and consultants to implement solutions that meet the needs of the Technology Operations and Presentation department, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key specialist for the Virtual Agent and self-service support in Service-now for theaters and guests.
• Implement detailed PowerBI Reports and Dashboards and participate in the development effort for future changes.
• Capture requirements and develop specifications for new Dashboard and Report projects.
• Develop specifications and perform coding for TOP reporting.
• Perform maintenance and investigate issues, recommending corrective actions with software applications.
• Work with vendors and department members to design, improve, and debug software applications utilized by Technology Operations and Presentation and Theater Operations.
• Assist in the management of various projects, including budgets and timelines.
• Ensure all projects are implemented on time, within budget, and meet customer approval.
• Be available to assist in emergencies.
• Perform any other duties deemed necessary.

Requirements

• College or University degree in Management Information Systems or similar discipline.
• 5+ years of experience working on software implementation projects (creating or modifying software applications).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software and reporting development.
• Experience in software development with proficiency in various development environments and data structures and systems.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data.
• Expertise in SQL queries, SSRS, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack tools and technologies, including SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, DAX, and Data Lake.
• Experience with ServiceNow is an asset.
• Experience with AWS Reporting is an asset.
• .NET development using VB and C#.
• Javascript proficiency.
• Proven communication and problem-solving skills.
