About the position

The BI & Data Visualization Developer at McAfee, Inc. is a key member of the Data & Analytics team responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining reporting solutions that meet the needs of business stakeholders. This role involves collaborating with various teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions, ensuring quality, accuracy, and scalability in data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data-driven reporting solutions such as interactive dashboards and reporting templates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Marketing, and Operations/Strategy to gather requirements.
• Partner with Data Stewards and Data Curation Engineers to prepare scalable data sets for visualization, ensuring data quality.
• Develop performant SQL queries to extract data from certified sources for reporting solutions.
• Transform complex datasets into meaningful visual narratives using UI/UX best practices and modern technology.
• Promote reporting solutions to stakeholders to ensure continuous adoption of analytic tools for self-service data exploration.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a data analytics function developing scalable reporting dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools.
• Experience developing SQL/SparkSQL and working with modern cloud-based data warehouses with large event-based datasets.
• History of conducting exploratory analysis to determine root causes.
• Passion for deploying new technology to improve reporting efficiencies and familiarity with natural language query implementation.
• Strong sense of UI/UX best practices with attention to visual design and detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience translating business stakeholder needs into technical design documentation.
• Experience working in an agile/Scrum environment.
