About the position

The BI Developer at Cube BTI Solutions is responsible for collaborating with BI Analysts to understand customer needs and drive improvements in key business metrics and customer experience. This role involves designing, developing, and evaluating innovative business intelligence tools and automated reports, as well as performing data conversions and maintaining data quality. The BI Developer will also participate in project management processes and provide recommendations on BI products and services.

Responsibilities

• Work with BI Analysts to understand customer needs.
• Collect, analyze, and share data to help business teams drive improvement in key business metrics.
• Utilize database and web application technologies to design, develop, and evaluate business intelligence tools and automated reports.
• Perform data conversions, imports, and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems.
• Merge BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications.
• Enhance the performance of business intelligence tools by defining data filters and indexes.
• Document new and existing models, solutions, and implementations.
• Troubleshoot BI tools, systems, and software.
• Participate in workstream planning processes including inception, technical design, development, testing, and delivery of Microsoft BI solutions.
• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate these into robust, scalable solutions.
• Conduct research and make recommendations on BI products and services, maintaining interface with vendors.
• Maintain the quality of data and provide input to the development of data/information quality metrics.
• Develop the SSAS Tabular model cube for end-user expense reporting.
• Develop partition-based SSAS Tabular cube model for incremental data processing and partial data processing.
• Make project deliverable documents for Database design and ETL process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or related field.
• 6+ years of technical expertise in MSSQL.
• 6 years of Database designing experience for BI system data mart.
• 6 years of SSAS Tabular model cube development experience.
• 4 years of SSIS ETL development experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• 4 years of related technical experience as a Microsoft SSIS Engineer (Required).
• 6 years of related technical experience as a Microsoft SSAS Engineer (Required).
• Proficient in MDX & DAX (Required).
• 6 years of database administration experience (Required).

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual (Korean & English) preferred but not required.
• Experience handling Dashboards and other BI solutions using Tableau & Power BI, but not required.
