About the position

The BI Developer at Woongjin, Inc. is responsible for collaborating with BI Analysts to understand customer needs and enhance business intelligence tools. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and sharing data to improve key business metrics and customer experience. The developer will design, develop, and evaluate innovative BI tools, perform data conversions, and troubleshoot BI systems, ensuring the quality of data and maintaining effective communication with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Work with BI Analysts to understand customer needs.
• Collect, analyze, and share data to drive improvement in business metrics and customer experience.
• Utilize database technologies to design, develop, and evaluate business intelligence tools and automated reports.
• Perform data conversions, imports, and exports of data within and between software systems.
• Merge BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications.
• Enhance the performance of BI tools by defining data filters and indexes.
• Document new and existing models, solutions, and implementations.
• Troubleshoot BI tools, systems, and software.
• Participate in workstream planning, technical design, development, testing, and delivery of Microsoft BI solutions.
• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Conduct research and make recommendations on BI products and services, maintaining vendor interfaces.
• Maintain data quality and contribute to the development of data quality metrics.
• Develop SSIS ETL projects for automated data processing and user alerting functions.
• Create project deliverable documents for database design and ETL processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of technical expertise in MSSQL.
• 8 years of database designing experience for BI system data mart.
• 6 years of ETL development experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Korean and English (preferred but not required).
• Experience with dashboards and BI solutions using Tableau and Power BI (not required).
