About the position

The BI Developer role at DND Technologies LLC focuses on architecting, developing, and maintaining complex reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Grafana and cloud-native BI products. This position requires collaboration within an Agile sprint team to ensure effective data analysis, modeling, and reporting in a cloud environment, particularly within the context of government IT support services.

Responsibilities

  • Design schema objects such as attributes, facts, and filters using Grafana or similar tools based on data analysis.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations based on customer requirements, applying UI/UX and HCD best practices.
  • Design and develop dashboards and reports, maintaining them with a timely data refresh process to support continuous operations.
  • Work closely with other developers to test and validate reports and dashboards in O&M.
  • Collaborate with data modelers and ETL developers to develop, review, and maintain SQL code and scripts.
  • Engage with the Cloud Architect and other stakeholders to develop and deploy BI innovations for performance and cost savings.
  • Perform tuning of reports and underlying SQL queries periodically.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and assist with creating, updating, and maintaining training materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience as a BI and Report Developer.
  • Expertise in Grafana or similar Cloud-native BI tools to develop reports and dashboards.
  • Experience working within a BI environment inside the AWS Cloud is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot application issues.
  • Ability to interact with clients and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Previous experience with SAFe agile principles including JIRA.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Section 508 standards and ability to test for them.
