About the position

The BI Developer II at GLOTECH, Inc. is responsible for building and maintaining business intelligence reports, visualizations, and analyses that support data-driven decisions for the corporate office of United Parks & Resorts in Orlando, FL. This role requires expertise in BI tools, particularly Google Cloud, Big Query, and Looker, and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to identify reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain business intelligence reports, visualizations, and analyses.
  • Deliver reports, visualizations, and data sets to support data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with data product owners, data engineering, and data analysts as part of the BI Platform Product team.
  • Take inventory of existing legacy reports and identify key data products, dimensions, and metrics for conversion to the new BI platform.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify business intelligence reporting and visualization requirements across various data domains.
  • Analyze, organize, and develop new business intelligence deliverables based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications for data engineering to source new data from line of business applications.
  • Ensure new business intelligence artifacts meet stakeholder needs and are performant, maintainable, and scalable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, engineering, or information technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • Expert knowledge of BI technologies using Google Cloud, Big Query, and Looker Pro.
  • Expert level experience writing and running SQL queries, including designing, coding, testing, and aggregating results.
  • Expert level visualization and design skills.
  • Experience in data warehouse design.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be available to work onsite in Orlando, FL.
