About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer II at Dallas County Hospital District (Parkland Health) is responsible for designing, testing, and implementing high-value Business Intelligence solutions to meet customer analytic needs. This role involves using industry-standard reporting tools to generate reports, facilitating communication with healthcare staff, and ensuring prompt responses to customer inquiries. The developer will document development processes and resolve IT service management incidents independently, prioritizing customer experience and collaboration with team members.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement Business Intelligence solutions to meet customer analytic needs.
• Generate reports using industry-standard reporting tools as requested.
• Collaborate with team members to learn business processes and capture requirements for proposed solutions.
• Document each step of development to ensure clear communication within the team and with customers.
• Provide prompt responses to customer problems and inquiries, prioritizing customer experience.
• Resolve ITSM incidents and requests independently within SLA timelines.
• Handle conflict with peers diplomatically, maintaining professionalism and integrity.
• Follow department procedures including Weekly Status Reports and Customer Communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 24 months of experience working with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and languages.
• 12 months of experience working with health data.
• Experience developing reports and dashboards using tools like Crystal reporting, WEBi reporting, Power BI, or others.
• Experience using SQL server-based SQL coding like Oracle PLSQL.
• Experience working with data warehouses such as SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle, or others.
