About the position

As a BI Developer Intern at American Foods Group, you will engage in hands-on activities and projects to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business. This full-time internship, lasting approximately 12 weeks from May to August, may extend through your expected graduation date. You will be involved in developing and deploying enhancements to existing Business Intelligence applications, conducting in-depth tests, and providing training and support to end users.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy enhancements to existing Business Intelligence applications.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
  • Provide post-implementation support for new systems.
  • Assist with orientation and training for end users on modified and new reports and dashboards.
  • Mentor junior staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have completed your Junior year at a credited College or University.
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Desire and ability to work well both independently and cross-functionally.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Inquisitive nature with a desire to gain knowledge through experience.
  • Ability to perform all duties required in both office and manufacturing environments wearing proper PPE.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the working location.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with BI tools (data visualization, reporting, ETLs, etc).
  • Ability to create dashboards and reports from specifications.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Birst, etc.
