About the position

PYA is seeking a BI Developer to join its high-performing and privately-owned firm. This role is focused on developing data analytics solutions using Power BI, analyzing healthcare claims, and enhancing data flow tasks to support business objectives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data and committed to providing effective solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop data analytics solutions using Power BI by accessing various data sources to create actionable and interactive data visualizations and models.
• Analyze healthcare claims and datasets to identify issues/trends and develop alternatives to support business objectives.
• Design methods to enhance and streamline existing data flow tasks.
• Work with teammates to identify, evaluate, and implement creative yet practical solutions based on client needs.
• Possess an in-depth understanding of underlying data, data structures, and business uses to ensure dashboards/reports meet client needs.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Business intelligence experience in a corporate or healthcare setting required.
• Ability to create and modify T-SQL queries.
• Proficient with ETL processes using SSIS / Power Query or other relevant tools.
• Implement DAX calculations for complex business logic.
• Advanced MS Excel & Power BI knowledge.
• Programming experience preferred.
• Fluency in a scripting language preferred.
• Creative solver of complex problems, with a high level of strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills and the ability to work independently to develop solutions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Passion for helping clients achieve success.
• Team player with a demonstrated track record in project management.
