About the position

The BI Developer at DCCA is responsible for designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports using AWS QuickSight, ensuring data quality and consistency while collaborating with data engineers. This role emphasizes data visualization, performance optimization, and user training, all within an Agile environment. Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports in AWS QuickSight based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineers to gather, prepare, and analyze data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Create data visualizations that effectively communicate insights and trends, using best practices in data presentation.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of QuickSight dashboards to ensure fast load times and a smooth user experience.
• Provide training and support to end-users, helping them understand how to navigate and utilize QuickSight reports and dashboards effectively.
• Participate in all Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data visualization and reporting.
• Strong proficiency in AWS QuickSight, including data sources, datasets, and analysis features.
• Strong proficiency with SQL and data manipulation for effective data preparation.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools, particularly AWS services like S3, Redshift, or Athena.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS).
• Exceptionally strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with content management systems (CMS).
• Supporting client stakeholders with varying levels of Agile experience.
• Proficient in MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel.
• Master's degree in information systems or computer science.
• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.
