BI Developer

About the position

The Technology Delivery role involves developing code, debugging, and implementing data analytics applications, reports, and dashboards using various technology stacks. The position requires proficiency in SQL and the ability to quickly learn Logi Analytics and other technologies related to the Analytics team, such as Python. The candidate will design systems, test program logic, and ensure final production readiness while leveraging secure coding standards. Participation in code reviews, creating and maintaining ETL jobs, and employing agile development methodologies are also key responsibilities. The role may involve contributing to higher complexity efforts and oversight of small initiatives, as well as developing standards and procedures related to applications development, security standards, and data management. The candidate will contribute to an environment of innovation and utilize modern practices and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop code, debug, and implement data analytics applications, reports, and dashboards.
• Design systems and test program logic to ensure production readiness.
• Leverage secure coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews across the team.
• Create and maintain ETL jobs.
• Employ agile development methodologies such as pair programming and test-driven development.
• Contribute to higher complexity efforts and oversight of small initiatives.
• Develop standards and procedures related to applications development and data management.
• Provide project leadership for application and system initiatives.
• Provide feedback and assistance for IT interns.
• Provide performance feedback on applications developers to the Director of IT.
• Engage in collaboration with end-users and business areas.
• Research and share ideas regarding external technology solutions.
• Understand business processes and how solutions meet user needs.
• Participate in innovation, strategy, and technical solutions discussions.
• Participate in post-project reviews to discuss successes and lessons learned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, MIS, CS, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of relevant programming experience in data analytics.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies, including pair programming and test-first development.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Google, Microsoft), with AWS preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with diverse groups and provide excellent customer service.
