About the position

The BI Developer position at a global shipping firm in central NJ involves collaborating with BI Support to address inquiries, solve problems, and implement enhancements for analytics solutions. The role focuses on developing and maintaining tabular cubes to facilitate data-driven decision-making, while being part of a supportive team of developers dedicated to knowledge sharing and collective success.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, administer and maintain AAS cubes (Tabular using DAX).
• Analyze existing complex systems to understand and document data elements, relationships, data flow, dependencies, and their related interfaces.
• Perform unit testing and resolve defects.
• Design, develop, and support back-end solutions for intuitive reports and dashboards using Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
• Create data models with calculated columns, measures, and calculated tables.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• 2 years of experience in design, development, maintenance, and performance tuning on Azure Analysis Services.
• Strong SQL and T-SQL programming skills.
• Experience with dimensional data modeling.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DB, Azure DW, or Fabric is a plus.
• Experience with the creation of data warehouses is a plus.
